This is first time I've ever written in a blog. I've read other people's blogs occasionally but never written anything myself. I'm hoping this is something I can use with my students or use myself as a teacher.

The last blog I read was by E-Mack, my son Joe's friend, who works and writes for cbssports.com He's a fantasy baseball writer and wrote some very interesting blogs about spring training.

The Red Sox opened last night in Oakland and won. Hooray! Dice-K looked pretty strong for the few innings that I saw him. Papelbon got the save.

I actually watched some Women's basketball last night--the NCAA Tourney. Both teams that I was rooting for won--Tennessee and Connecticut.
